Amazon published the January changes on its selling partner blog. The April surcharge and the peak fees were announced in Seller Central and reported by Digital Commerce 360 and Supply Chain Dive.
The 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge
FBA fulfillment fee × 3.5%$4.50 × 3.5% = $0.16It is charged on the fulfillment fee, not on the sale price, so a heavier item pays more of it. Amazon calls it temporary and has not set an end date. Its Revenue Calculator and the Fee Preview report include it, so an FBA fee you copy from either already carries it.
Holiday peak fees
From October 15 to January 14 every FBA unit pays a higher fulfillment fee. Amazon charges it when the unit ships from the warehouse, not when you sent it in, so stock that sells in December pays the peak rate whenever it arrived. What did not change
- Referral fees. The US rates and the $0.30 minimum are the same as 2025. Referral fees by category.
- Fee types. Amazon said it would add no new FBA fee types in 2026, and kept the 90-day notice before an increase.
